Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center seek a full-time medical oncology faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor with an interest in lymphoma.

The appointee will deliver care to hematologic and oncologic patients in inpatient and outpatient settings, join a collaborative, fast-paced team, and contribute to teaching, research, and clinical trials.

Qualifications

• MD degree is required and board certification in Hematology or Hematology/Oncology.
• Licensure to practice medicine in the relevant jurisdiction is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Participate in teaching, research, and clinical trials.
• Collaborate in a fast-paced environment within the Division and Developmental Therapeutics Program.

Job description

The Division of Hematology/Oncology in the Department of Medicine at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center is expanding due to programmatic success and seeks a full‑time medical oncology faculty, non‑tenure‑eligible Clinician Educator at the rank of Assistant Professor with an interest in lymphoma. Applicants with experience in translational research, developmental therapeutics, and innovative clinical trial design are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities include providing care to patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. The candidate is expected to work in a highly collaborative, fast‑paced environment and will participate in teaching, research, and clinical trials. Our facilities include a modern 900-bed teaching hospital, outpatient clinic, extensive basic research facilities, and a large cancer center supported clinical research office. In addition, there will be opportunities for collaboration and participation within the Division's Developmental Therapeutics Program.

Qualified candidates will have their MD degree, board certification in Hematology or Hematology/Oncology, and licensure.

The start date is negotiable and the position will remain open until filled.

The expected base pay range for this position is $270,456 - $371,356.

Northwestern University has provided a pay range representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for the position. The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate including years since terminal degree, training, and field or discipline; departmental budget availability; internal comparators; and external market pay for comparable jobs.
