Balanced Physical Therapy + Wellness in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a passionate Physical Therapist (PT) with specialization in lymphedema management to join our rehabilitation team. The ideal candidate will treat patients with lymphedema and related conditions and help improve mobility, independence, and quality of life.

Experience with Wheelchair Evaluations or a strong interest in developing expertise in this area is highly valued.

Qualifications

DPT or equivalent from an accredited program.
Current Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT).
Current Physical Therapy license for the state of New Mexico.
Current CPR Certification.
Experience in physical therapy & lymphedema rehabilitation.
Experience or interest in wheelchair evaluations.

Responsabilités

Perform comprehensive PT evaluations for lymphedema, edema, and related conditions.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on medical condition and lifestyle.
Provide lymphedema interventions including manual lymph drainage, compression therapy, exercise, skin care education, and self-management.
Educate patients and caregivers on compression garments, skin integrity, home management, and prevention of complications.
Monitor response to treatment and modify plans as needed.
Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, and other rehabilitation professionals.
Document treatment plans and medical necessity.
Assist patients in achieving greater independence with long-term lymphedema management.
For Wheelchair Evaluations: assess posture, seating, and mobility needs; recommend equipment and document justification.
