Brown University Health in East Greenwich, Rhode Island, seeks a licensed Physical Therapist to conduct comprehensive examinations, establish diagnosis and prognosis, and develop individualized plans of care for episodes of care. Responsibilities include evaluating progress, adjusting goals, educating patients and caregivers, and ensuring proper discharge planning and documentation.
The Physical Therapist reports directly to the Clinical Manager and/or Assistant Clinical Manager (ACM)/ Supervisor of their respective department and may receive clinical guidance from senior staff and/or clinical specialists. The Physical Therapist completes comprehensive examinations of body structure to determine functional impairments, activity limitations, and participation restrictions. The Physical Therapist establishes diagnosis and prognosis; develops an individualized plan of care; implements treatment interventions; and performs on-going evaluations throughout episode of care.

Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required. Master or Doctorate level degree in Physical Therapy is preferred. Active Physical Therapist license in state in which they practice. Graduates awaiting examination may practice under a Graduate Physical Therapist (GPT) license in Rhode Island or a temporary Physical Therapy license in Massachusetts. Graduates must practice under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist and pass their scheduled board examination. Active BLS certification.
New graduates will be considered. Clinical experience in program specific settings is preferred.
A licensed Physical Therapist will be responsible for the supervision of physical therapist assistants, supportive personnel, volunteers, and students to ensure the safety and welfare of patients.
