Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network in Pennsylvania is seeking a Physical Therapist to evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with physical impairments.

You will design and implement individualized treatment plans and educate patients and families to promote wellness and prevent recurrence. The role involves initial evaluations, goal planning, documentation, and participation in quality improvement initiatives within an outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Doctoral Degree, Masters or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited physical therapy program or physical therapy certificate.
• A minimum of one year of experience as a physical therapist in an outpatient setting.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive initial evaluations to identify functional deficits and develops a treatment plan to improve movement, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability.
• Provides skilled interventions tailored to patient needs using appropriate techniques, modalities, and equipment.
• Collaborates with patients to create short and long-term goals.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families and other health care providers while ensuring confidentiality and cultural sensitivity.
• Manages patients to improve movement, relieve pain, restore function, and prevent disability through direct or indirect treatments or referrals as appropriate.
• Documents diagnoses, prognosis, and plan of care based on evidence and clinical reasoning.
