Qualifications

• 1+ years of veterinary technician experience.
• Active and good-standing Licensed Veterinary Technician in Michigan.
• Proficiency in patient assessment, nursing care, and monitoring.
• Proficiency in anesthetic induction, monitoring, and recovery.
• Surgical assistance and aseptic technique.
• Dental prophylaxis and dental radiography.
• Venipuncture and IV catheter placement.
• Medication administration and accurate drug calculations.
• Accurate medical record documentation.
• Client education and communication.
• Effective teamwork and professional communication.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining detailed medical records and treatment documentation.
• Reviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly.
• Building client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service.
• Monitoring and providing nursing care for hospitalized patients.
• Perform anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery.
• Performa dental procedures, including prophylaxis and radiography.
