Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons by understanding their needs and preparing instruments before surgery.
• Routinely prepare the operation site, ensuring it is clean and properly prepped.
• Manage instrument tables and track counts to prevent discrepancies.
• Check functionality of surgical instruments, equipment and supplies during procedures.
• Assist with patient draping and positioning as needed.
• Handle surgical specimens and deliver to the circulating nurse per protocol.
• Apply surgical dressings post-operation and assist with post-op care.
