Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Texas is hiring an LVN Surgical Tech to support the operating room team. You will assist a Registered Nurse, prepare instruments, and manage surgical tools to ensure safe, efficient surgeries.

Strong sterilization knowledge and attention to detail are essential. The role requires an LVN license with BLS certification or the ability to obtain within 30 days of hire, with opportunities for growth in a large not-for-profit health system.

Qualifications

• EDUCATION - H.S. Diploma/GED Equivalent
• EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience
• CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION - LVN and Basic Life Support (BLS): BLS or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

• Prepare instruments before surgery and communicate needs to surgeons.
• Ensure operation site is clean and prepped according to protocol.
• Manage instrument tables to prevent damage and count discrepancies.
• Check functionality of surgical instruments and supplies during procedures.
• Assist with draping and positioning of the patient.
• Assist in instrument sterilization and post-procedure cleanup in the OR.
