Responsibilities
- Report and document patient status, care provided, provider orders, and contacts with patients and healthcare providers.
- Refill medications following ARC protocols.
- Room patients, take and document vital signs, prepare patients for provider exams.
- Follow clinic protocols and directions from nursing leadership.
- Perform diagnostic tests such as EKGs, audiograms, tympanograms, spirometry, and visual screenings, with proper reporting and documentation.
- Monitor and restock medical and office supplies, ensuring they are current and not expired; order supplies as needed.
- Review provider refill requests and assist with medication refills per ARC protocols.
- Review triage calls and callbacks in EPIC.
- Clean patient rooms and handle laundry appropriately.
- Assist providers with procedures like sigmoidoscopy exams and cardiac stress testing, including setup and cleanup.
- Maintain medical equipment, ensuring sterilization and proper functioning.
- Adhere to all policies including OSHA, HIPAA, and company compliance standards.
- Maintain regular and dependable attendance.
- Work holiday shifts as required.
LVN Specific Responsibilities
- Administer medications and injections.
- Provide direct nursing care and distribute medications/treatments under physician orders.
- Educate and counsel patients and families on health assessments and disease prevention.
- Manage vaccines, including ordering, monitoring, and reporting, following Texas guidelines.
- Facilitate immunization programs and communicate lab results to patients.
- Document patient care and follow-up activities comprehensively.
- Participate in onboarding new employees.
Qualifications
LVN
- High school diploma or equivalent; graduation from an accredited vocational nursing program.
- Current Texas LVN license and BLS CPR certification, maintained during employment.
- Preferred experience in ambulatory or acute care settings.
- Skills include effective communication, organization, and adherence to professional standards.
Staff Medical Assistant
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical Assistant certification preferred; experience as a Medical Assistant, CNA, EMT, PCT, or related field is acceptable.
- Ability to administer medications and injections within scope within 90 days of hire.
- Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
Work Schedule
M-F, 8am-5pm
