Description

Responsibilities:

  • Report and document patient status, care provided, provider orders, and contacts with patients and healthcare providers.
  • Refill medications following ARC protocols.
  • Room patients, take and document vital signs, prepare patients for exams.
  • Follow clinic protocols and directives from nursing leadership.
  • Perform diagnostic tests such as EKGs, audiograms, tympanograms, spirometry, and visual screenings, with proper reporting.
  • Monitor inventory of supplies and equipment, ensuring proper stock and expiration dates; order supplies as needed.
  • Assist with medication refills and review EPIC triage calls.
  • Clean patient rooms and handle laundry appropriately.
  • Assist providers with procedures like sigmoidoscopy exams and cardiac stress tests, setting up and cleaning equipment.
  • Maintain medical equipment and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Adhere to all policies including OSHA, HIPAA, and Code of Conduct.
  • Maintain regular attendance and work holiday shifts as required.
LVN Specific Duties:
  • Administer medications and injections.
  • Provide nursing care and patient education.
  • Manage vaccines and immunization programs.
  • Follow up on lab results and patient communications.
Staff Medical Assistant Duties:
  • Provide patient education materials.
  • Administer medications under physician supervision.
  • Review lab results and communicate with patients.
Qualifications

LVN:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, graduation from an accredited LVN program.
  • Current Texas LVN license and BLS certification.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Effective communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of nursing practices and medical terminology.

Staff Medical Assistant:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Medical Assistant certification or comparable healthcare experience.
  • BLS certification required within 60 days of hire.

Work schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm.

This position is full-time and entry-level, in the healthcare provider industry, with a focus on medical practices.
