We are currently looking for a Dietary Aide to work PRN or "as needed" within our Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Community at The Wesleyan. Excellent customer service and a passion for ensuring a spectacular meal experience is had by others will be essential to your success as a Dietary Aide at The Wesleyan.

• This position requires flexible availability for shifts that start as early as 5:00AM or end as late as 7:30PM on varying days, including weekends*
  
  

Essential Job Functions

• Prepare drinks, salads, foods, and desserts and set them up as directed.
• Prepare dining room and trays for meals.
• Serve meals to residents in the dining room and/or rooms, and complete regular check-ins for seconds and substitutions.
• Complete general cleaning tasks that may include dishes, pots and pans, equipment, dining room, floors, tables, work areas, etc. and the proper disposal of trash.
• Count and post meal census.
• Put away groceries and supplies.
• Cross-train for all positions within the department, as assigned by the supervisor.
• Complete other job duties or tasks as assigned by the Executive Chef, Director of Dining Services, and/or the building Administrator.
  
  

Qualifications & Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior food service experience within a senior living, assisted living, or skilled nursing environment is preferred.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Excellent customer service is required along with the ability to evaluate customer satisfaction and responsiveness.
• Must have the ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• A service-minded approach to all aspects of the job is required.
• A passion for working within a senior living community is a plus!
