Job summary

FullShift Staffing is seeking a Travel LVN to join our California healthcare team. The ideal candidate holds a valid California LVN license and is prepared to work full-time in a mobility-friendly travel role.

You will provide nursing care within scope, administer medications and treatments, educate patients and families, and collaborate with physicians. California practice standards and facility policies guide every action; TB, COVID, CPR certificates must be current.

Qualifications

• California LVN license is required.
• One year of skilled nursing experience preferred.
• Current TB, COVID, CPR and physical examination certificates.
• Proficient with PointClickCare charting system.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates infection control practices per policy.
• Participates in Quality Improvement programs.
• Uses Quality Life Manual for patient placement and monitoring.
• Notifies departments of patient changes and discharges.
• Educates patients and families.
• Administers medications timely per facility policy.
• Delivers treatments timely according to policy.
• Receives and carries out physician orders as allowed.
• Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.

FullShift Staffing is looking for Travel LVN's to come on Full-time. Licensed Vocational Nurses need to posses a California nursing license.

Objective

Provides nursing care within scope of practice to ensure patient’s needs are met in accordance with standards of practice, physician orders, center policies and procedures, and state, federal and local guidelines.

Principal Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate use of the Company Infection Control Manual.
• Understands, participates and assists in implementing the Quality Improvement Program.
• Utilizes the Quality Life Manual for identification, placement, and monitoring of patients in the appropriate programs.
• Notifies other Departments of patient changes, i.e., room changes, LOA, new admits, discharge, etc.
• Conducts family and patient education.
• Demonstrates the ability to administer medications timely and according to facility policy.
• Demonstrates the ability to administer treatments timely and according to facility policy.
• Demonstrates ability to receive, transcribe, and carry out physician orders, if allowed by Nurse Practice Act
• Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed as LVN in state of California
• One-year prior skilled nursing experience preferred, not required.
• Must posses a current TB, COVID, CPR, and Physical.
• Must be proficent at Point Click Care charting system.
• Demonstrates exceptional communication skills written and verbal.
