Job summary

PleasantonNorth in California is seeking a licensed practical nurse to provide direct patient care and supervise nursing assistants in a long-term care setting. The role requires ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local standards and coordinating the daily care plan with the Director of Nursing and nurse supervisor.

The successful candidate will lead shifts, manage documentation, coordinate resident care, and maintain quality assurance through timely reporting and adherence to policies

Qualifications

• Must possess a nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Must possess a current, active LPN/LVN license in this state.
• Must be able to read, write, speak English.
• Ability to supervise nursing staff and coordinate care.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants in accordance with rules and guidelines.
• Ensure nursing personnel comply with written policies and procedures.
• Maintain and review the Nursing Service Procedures Manual.
• Lead shift planning and coordinate care with physicians and residents.
• Complete and file required records and documentation.
• Administer medications as ordered and ensure accuracy of patient records.
• Provide leadership to nursing personnel and supervise CNAs.
