Job summary

FullShift Staffing, LLC in California (Chico) seeks a licensed LVN to provide nursing care in a long‑term care facility under physician orders and policy guidelines. You will support patient needs, administer medications and treatments, and document care per state regulations and center procedures.

Candidates should hold a California LVN license (compact license if working out of state), with at least one year in nursing management preferred and experience in long‑term care and PointClickCare

Qualifications

• Licensed LVN in California to practice in a long-term care setting.
• Minimum one year nursing management experience preferred.
• Experience in long-term care and PointClickCare charting.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate use of the Infection Control Manual.
• Participates in and assists with the Quality Improvement Program.
• Uses the Quality Life Manual for patient identification, placement and monitoring.
• Notifies departments of patient changes (room changes, LOA, new admits, discharge, etc.).
• Conducts family and patient education.
• Administers medications timely and according to facility policy.
• Administers treatments timely and according to facility policy.
• Receives, transcribes, and carries out physician orders as allowed by Nurse Practice Act.
• Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.

Job description

Objective

Provides nursing care within scope of practice to ensure patient’s needs are met in accordance with standards of practice, physician orders, center policies and procedures, and state, federal and local guidelines.

Principal Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate use of the Company Infection Control Manual.
• Understands, participates and assists in implementing the Quality Improvement Program.
• Utilizes the Quality Life Manual for identification, placement, and monitoring of patients in the appropriate programs.
• Notifies other Departments of patient changes, i.e., room changes, LOA, new admits, discharge, etc.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed as LVN in state California, if contract is in the state of Califonia. Have a compact license if working in a Compact state.
• One-year prior nursing management experience preferred
