Generations Healthcare - Lakeside Special Care is seeking an LVN to join the Special Treatment Program Unit, providing direct nursing care to behavioral residents and supervising daily nursing activities to ensure quality care.

PM or NOC shifts available, full-time only. Requires a Nursing Degree or LVN program graduation, current license in this state, and at least 1 year in a psych or secure setting; healthcare benefits and career growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree or graduate of an approved LPN/LVN program.
• Current, unencumbered LPN/LVN license in this state.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a psych/locked or secured facility or hospital setting.
• Ability to care for behavioral residents and work as part of a team.
• Knowledge of nursing practices and regulations for facilities.

Responsabilités

• Cooperate with resident services to coordinate nursing care on the STP.
• Participate in facility surveys and inspections.
• Review and update resident discharge plans as needed.
• Plan nursing services portion of discharge plan; assist in admissions/discharges.
• Complete injury/incident reports and required forms.

Lakeside Special Care, a Generations Healthcare facility, is in search of an LVN - Licensed Vocational Nurse, to join our team in our secured Special Treatment Program Unit for behavioral residents.

Position Overview

The primary role of the LVN in our Special Treatment Program Unit is to provide direct nursing care to our behavioral residents, and to supervise and assist the day-to-day nursing activities performed by Mental Health Specialists. Such supervision must be in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility, and as may be required by the STP Unit Director, the Director of Nursing Services and/or Nurse Supervisor to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.

Essential Duties

• Cooperate with other resident services when coordinating nursing services to ensure that the resident’s total regimen of care is maintained on the Special Treatment Unit (STP).
• Participate in facility surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies as may be requested.
• Periodically review the resident’s written discharge plan.
• Participate in the updating of the resident’s written discharge plan as required.
• Assist in planning the nursing services portion of the resident’s discharge plan, as necessary.
• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required.
• Complete injury/incident reports, as necessary.
• Completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charting, as necessary.
• Agree not to disclose resident’s protected health information and promptly report suspected or known violations.
• Complete and file required record keeping forms/charts upon the resident’s admission, transfer, and/or discharge.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university, or be a graduate of an approved LPN/LVN program.
• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an LPN/LVN in this state.
• At a minimum, 1 year of experience in a psych and/or locked or secured facility or hospital setting.
• Must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the behavioral and nursing needs of the residents served.
• Must be a supportive team member, contribute to and be an example of teamwork and team concept.
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
• Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities.
• Must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures that are necessary for providing quality care.
• Must be enthusiastic about caring for behavioral residents and have the desire to be part of a dynamic team.
