Home Health Expectations and Duties:

1. You will be providing Home Health Visits to various patients in their homes.
2. Follow-up visits with patients with home health needs.

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is a professional member of the healthcare team who provides skilled nursing care and prescribed medical treatment to patients in compliance with the Nurse Practice Act in California. The LVN works under the supervision of a Nurse Practitioner or Physician. Other duties include:

• Providing nursing care within the scope of LVN practice.
• Gathering data relevant to the patient’s individual needs.
• Assisting the RN in patient and family education.
• Providing basic medical care, such as changing bandages, administering medication, and collecting specimens.
• Ensuring the health, comfort, and safety of patients by assisting with bathing, feeding, and dressing.
• Monitoring and reporting changes in the patient’s condition to the supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Must have at least one year of active clinical experience.
• Active LVN license in California.
• Active driver’s license with a clean DMV record.
