Job summary

HMG Healthcare seeks a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for Park Manor Cyfair in Texas to deliver compassionate, high-quality nursing care to residents. You will support the healthcare team by providing direct patient care, monitoring conditions, and assisting with procedures under supervision of RNs and physicians.

You will ensure residents' physical and emotional needs are met, promoting comfort and dignity within a multidisciplinary team and healing environment.

Qualifications

• Texas LVN license required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of accredited vocational nursing program
• BLS certification
• Experience in long-term care setting

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and according to facility protocols.
• Monitor and record vital signs, symptoms, and changes in residents’ health status, reporting any concerns promptly to the nursing supervisor.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility to promote independence and comfort.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each resident’s needs.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies.
• Provide emotional support and education to residents and their families regarding health conditions and care procedures.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with nursing best practices and regulatory requirements.

About the Role:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid and current Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the state of Texas.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited vocational nursing program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Demonstrated ability to perform nursing duties in a long-term care or similar healthcare setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care environment.
• Additional certifications such as IV therapy or wound care.
• Strong familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.
