Job summary

TURN in San Diego, CA is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for a Regular Full Time position (over 30 hours weekly). The LVN will record vital signs, provide crisis intervention, administer injections, and educate clients on medications.

The role requires CA LVN licensing, a valid CA driver’s license, and experience in mental health services. The position includes on-call shifts, field-based services as needed, and coordination with pharmacies.

Qualifications

• Licensed Vocational Nurse in California required.
• Valid CA Driver’s License and current auto insurance per contract requirements required.
• Experience providing mental health and/or substance use disorder services preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and EHR software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide injections, medication support, diagnostic reviews, crisis intervention, and targeted case management services to assist clients with basic needs and symptom management.
• Vitals, health and wellness screenings/assessments, wellness coaching and education.
• Accurate and timely documentation as contractually required and meet minimum billable requirements for direct client services.
• Dispense and account for prescribed medication, assist psychiatrist in administering and evaluating prescribed medication and arrange lab work according to protocol.
• Shift coverage including part of the on-call team.
• Provide field-based services as required by program and client need.
• Maintain confidentiality of client’s care.
• Participate in scheduled program meetings. Attend Quarterly Medication Monitoring Committee.
• Other relevant duties as assigned.
• Respond to client inquiries and provide education regarding medications and side effects.
• Respond appropriately to medical emergencies.

JOB SUMMARY
