Job summary

TURN is seeking a Registered Nurse in California to provide operational oversight of nursing and direct client care, including physical health monitoring. In the absence of a nurse, you will administer medications, assess symptoms and evaluate patient progress.

You will collaborate with the treatment team, manage medication coaching and delivery, document accurately, and participate in on-call coverage and field-based services as required.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in California required.
• Valid CA driver's license and auto insurance required.
• Experience in mental health and/or substance abuse services preferred.
• Cultural competency; bilingual preferred.
• Knowledge of MS Office and EHR software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide injections, medication support, diagnostic reviews, case consult, crisis intervention, and targeted case management services to assist clients with basic needs and symptom management.
• Accurate and timely documentation as contractually required and meet minimum billable requirements for direct client services.
• Collaborate with treatment team to organize medication coaching and delivery, integrate medication administration into treatment plans, and respond to medical emergencies.
• Dispense and account for prescribed medication; assist psychiatrist in administering and evaluating prescribed medication and arrange lab work according to protocol.
• Oversee nursing policies, procedures, audits and liaise with program psychiatrist.
• Shift coverage including part of the on-call team.
• Provide field-based services as required by program and client needs.
• Maintain confidentiality of client’s care.
• Participate in scheduled program meetings.
• Other relevant duties as assigned.
