Job summary

Ro Health is seeking a dedicated LVN to join our healthcare team at a correctional facility in Lubbock, TX. The role focuses on delivering essential healthcare services to incarcerated individuals within a safe and therapeutic environment.

The position is full-time and contract-based, with a 5am-5pm shift. Active Texas LVN license, BLS certification, and a background check are required; prior corrections experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Active Texas LVN license (in good standing).
• BLS Certification required.
• Ability to pass a strict background check.
• 1 year of experience in locked psych unit.
• Prior corrections experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications, including oral, topical, and intramuscular injections, as prescribed.
• Monitor and record patient vital signs, reporting any abnormalities to RNs or medical providers.
• Assist with wound care, dressing changes, and basic medical treatments.
• Support patient mobility, hygiene, and activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed.
• Conduct health screenings and collect patient medical history.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid or CPR as necessary.
• Ensure proper infection control procedures and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and mental health providers to coordinate patient care.
• Document patient care activities accurately and timely in medical records.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with facility guidelines.
