Job summary

Qualifications

• Currently licensed as LVN in the state of California.
• One-year prior nursing management experience preferred.
• SNF/LTC experience preferred.
• Bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate use of the Infection Control Manual.
• Participates in and assists with the Quality Improvement Program.
• Utilizes the Quality Life Manual for patient identification, placement, and monitoring.
• Notifies other Departments of patient changes (room changes, LOA, new admits, discharge).
• Performs patient and family education.
• Administers medications timely and according to facility policy.
• Administers treatments timely and according to facility policy.
• Receives, transcribes, and carries out physician orders when allowed by Nurse Practice Act.
• Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.

Objective

Provides nursing care within scope of practice to ensure patient’s needs are met in accordance with standards of practice, physician orders, center policies and procedures, and state, federal and local guidelines.
