Job summary

Tradition Senior Living, LP in Fort Worth, Texas is seeking a full-time LVN Charge Nurse for their community. Qualifications

• Maintains a current state license as a professional Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN).
• Management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers and/or supervises medications as needed.
• Obtains and records Residents vital signs as directed.
• Observes Resident to detect response to medications and notifies Healthcare Director of unexpected reactions.
• Communicates with physician’s offices as needed for resident management.
• Assures emergency response system calls are answered timely.
• Attends all training and conferences to maintain CEUs.
• Assures all direct care staff duties are completed and documented.
• Participates in the Care Planning process.
• Assists in training for direct care staff as assigned.
• Addresses concerns to promote satisfaction and good communication.
• Maintains confidentiality of Resident and staff information.
• Other duties as assigned.

LVN CHARGE NURSE (Full time 2pm-10pm)

The Tradition Senior Living is a Texas-based Luxury Senior Living organization committed to excellence in all we do to serve our residents. Since our inception, we have expanded to multiple locations in the Dallas, Houston, and Fort Worth areas. Each community offers a comprehensive continuum of care that includes Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care.

We are currently seeking a LVN Charge Nurse at our Ft. Clearfork community. The Charge Nurse reports directly to our Healthcare Director who oversees day-to-day operations of the community's Healthcare department.

Responsibilities

• Administers and/or supervises medications as needed.
• Obtains and records Residents vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration), weight, food and fluid intake and output, as directed.
• Observes Resident to detect response to specified types of medications and prepares report or notifies Healthcare Director of unexpected reactions.
• Communicates with physician’s offices and doctors as needed to manage or change orders for a resident.
• Assures emergency response system calls are answered in a timely manner to attend to the Resident’s needs immediately after the call is signaled.
• Attends all training and conferences as required to stay abreast of changes in the nursing profession as well as to maintain appropriate CEU’s for license, with prior approval of supervisor. Assures all training required by the state regulations is completed and documented each year.
• Assures all direct care staff duties are performed as assigned and documented appropriately.
• Participates in the Care Planning process as assigned.
• Assists in training for all direct care staff to assure requirements for state regulations are met, as assigned by Healthcare Director.
• Addresses team member, family, and resident concerns to promote satisfaction and good communication.
• Maintains confidentiality of all pertinent personal or health information concerning residents and staff.
• Other duties as assigned to ensure the success and safety of The Tradition Residents and team members.
