Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of vocational nursing.

• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Follow established nursing standards and implement programs and policies.
• Obtain and relay shift reports; document follow-up actions.
• Conduct resident rounds daily and report issues.
• Comply with pain assessment, documentation, and medication delivery.
• Administer and document direct resident care per physicians' orders.
• Provide instruction to licensed nurses and aides.

Responsibilities

• Follow established standards of nursing practices and implement community programs, policies and procedures
• Obtain report from nurse being relieved and provide report to nurse coming on duty; record sufficient information to implement appropriate follow-up action as necessary.
• Conduct resident rounds daily, reporting problems to supervisor and initiating corrective action
• Comply with community processes related to pain assessment/management/ documentation, providing treatments and delivering medications
• Administer and document direct resident care, medications and treatments per physicians’ orders and accurately record all care provided
• Provide instruction for appropriate nursing care to licensed nurses and Nursing Assistants

Must Haves

• Graduate of an accredited school of vocational nursing
• Unencumbered LVN / RN license
• Proof of current CPR certification
• Ability to work flexible schedule
• Minimum 1 year experience as an LVN/RN in a clinical setting preferred
