Requisition Summary
The Evening Shift Team Lead reports directly to the shop floor Supervisors and is responsible for hour‑by‑hour operation on the shop floor.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
- Assist the Supervisors in managing the daily production and distribution flow.
- Assist the Supervisors in logistically managing the deployment of shop floor personnel.
- Successful candidates should be able to resolve daily SAP report issues and act as point of contact for identification and resolution of area data process errors.
- Be able to recommend process and/or system changes to enhance safety/productivity/quality.
- Work with Supervisors and plant personnel to improve system knowledge base.
- Communicate with other departments on order status and plant required tasks (delivery deletion, production order status, transfer order generation, etc).
- Assist in employee training in interfacing with SAP.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Skills
- Candidates must be able to operate independently with little guidance while being a positive contributor to a team environment.
- Qualified candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and a working knowledge of SAP Warehouse Management.
- Candidates will lead by example and have a proven record of excellence in attendance, dependability and safety.
- Candidate must be self motivated, well organized, flexible and able to handle the pressure of a high-volume operation.
- Computer literacy is required with a familiarity with MS Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
- Qualified candidates must have a minimum of two years manufacturing and/or distribution experience.
- Previous supervisory/leadership experience preferred.
- Experience with SAP/RF/Operations preferred.
Education
High School Diploma or GED
Associate's degree preferred but not required.
