Job summary

PACCAR is seeking an Evening Shift Team Lead at our McKinney, TX facility to oversee hour-by-hour shop floor operations. You will assist Supervisors with daily production and distribution, and support SAP-based data processes on the floor.

The role requires strong communication, a minimum of two years in manufacturing or distribution, and prior supervisory experience. Proficiency in SAP/WMS and MS Office is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate independently with minimal guidance while contributing to a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; working knowledge of SAP-WMS.
• Proven record of attendance, dependability and safety.
• Self-motivated, well organized, flexible and able to handle pressure of a high-volume operation.
• Proficient in MS Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist Supervisors in managing daily production and distribution flow.
• Assist in deploying shop floor personnel logistically.
• Resolve daily SAP report issues; act as contact for area data process errors.
• Recommend process or system changes to improve safety/productivity/quality.
• Collaborate with Supervisors and plant personnel to improve system knowledge base.
• Communicate with other departments on order status and plant tasks.

Job Summary

The Evening Shift Team Lead reports directly to the shop floor Supervisors and is responsible for hour-by-hour operation on the shop floor.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist the Supervisors in managing the daily production and distribution flow.
• Assist the Supervisors in logistically managing the deployment of shop floor personnel.
• Successful candidates should be able to resolve daily SAP report issues and act as point of contact for identification and resolution of area data process errors.
• Be able to recommend process and/or system changes to enhance safety/productivity/quality.
• Work with Supervisors and plant personnel to improve system knowledge base.
• Communicate with other departments on order status and plant required tasks (delivery deletion, production order status, transfer order generation, etc).
• Assist in employee training in interfacing with SAP.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications / Skills

• Candidates must be able to operate independently with little guidance while being a positive contributor to a team environment.
• Qualified candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and a working knowledge of SAP Warehouse Management.
• Candidates will lead by example and have a proven record of excellence in attendance, dependability and safety.
• Candidate must be self motivated, well organized, flexible and able to handle the pressure of a high-volume operation.
• Computer literacy is required with a familiarity with MS Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
• Qualified candidates must have a minimum of two years manufacturing and/or distribution experience.
• Previous supervisory/leadership experience preferred.
• Experience with SAP/RF/Operations preferred.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Associate's degree preferred but not required.
