Job summary

ABB is seeking an onsite assembler at our Mebane, NC production site. You will perform assembly tasks to build semi-finished or final products, interpret technical diagrams, and operate shop-floor machinery while maintaining quality and clean work areas.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, up to 40 lbs lifting, and US work authorization. Prior manufacturing experience is preferred, with knowledge of common hand tools and ladders as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Knowledge and use of tools - tape measure, calipers, grinders, or other hand tools, as needed.
• Ability to safely use a ladder while performing the job, as needed.
• Ability to lift, push and pull up to 40lbs.
• Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

Responsibilities

• Conducting all types of assembly work to produce semi-finished or final products/systems/panels, including the packing where integrated with production lines.
• Reading and interpreting the technical diagrams/instructions for assembly of products/systems/panels.
• Performing work manually or by using light hand tools.
• Will use machinery and equipment on the shop floor.
• Carrying out regular quality testing as part of a defined production process.
• Operating within standard operating procedures and maintaining a clean work area.
