Job summary

Vertiv in Anderson, South Carolina is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to design LV power distribution for switchgear products from concept through release, using PLM to manage drawings and BOMs. You will lead electrical design tasks, review requirements, and provide guidance to supply chain and manufacturing across global and local locations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of product development experience; or an Associate’s Degree with 7+ years experience.
Ability to solve problems and apply electrical control design knowledge.
Capacity to own projects and work in a team; manage multiple drawings and revisions.
Adaptability to a fast-moving business environment with strong communication.

Responsibilities

Lead concept and detailed design of power systems including busbar, power cable, and wire harnesses.
Develop electrical drawing packages and prepare detailed schematics and one-line diagrams.
Create BOMs, liaise with mechanical/automation teams, and ensure on-time project delivery.
Write/change orders in the PLM system and support prototype builds with manufacturing.
Interpret UL/NEC/IEC standards and identify opportunities for process improvements.
