Job summary

Murgado Automotive Group in Barrington, IL seeks an experienced Used Car Sales Manager to lead our pre-owned vehicle department, driving growth, profitability, and daily success. You will manage pricing, inventory, and team performance while coordinating with leadership to hit monthly targets.

The role requires strong leadership, a track record of hitting sales goals, and experience with inventory/appraisal tools such as vAuto.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years as Used Car Manager at a high-volume franchise dealership.
• Mercedes-Benz/Luxury/Import experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with dealership inventory and appraisal tools (vAuto or similar).
• Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong leadership, coaching, communication, and customer service skills.
• Track record of achieving sales goals and maintaining CSI scores.

Responsibilities

• Manage pre-owned inventory: pricing, merchandising, aging, turn, profitability.
• Lead and coach pre-owned sales team; assist with turnover opportunities.
• Appraise trade-ins and coordinate reconditioning to maximize value and speed to market.
• Oversee inventory control, lot presentation, digital advertising, readiness, and delivery processes.
• Administer daily department operations and coordinate team activities.
• Partner with leadership to meet sales, gross profit, and customer experience goals.
