Job summary

The RealReal in Santa Monica is seeking an Assistant Manager, Stores to lead a team of Customer Experience Specialists and partner with the Store Manager to deliver exceptional client service while driving store results.

You will coach, train, and develop staff, ensure operational efficiency, and foster a diverse, inclusive team aligned with The RealReal's values in a fast-paced luxury environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of store management experience, preferably in luxury or fashion.
• Experience with commissioned retail or operationally intensive business.
• Comfortable with routine employee touch-bases and performance reviews.
• Ability to strategically manage a sales floor (scheduling, zoning, coaching).
• Strong customer service orientation with clienteling and floor management skills.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, problem solving and troubleshooting.
• Able to multitask and prioritize competing demands.

Responsibilities

• Achieve supply and demand goals by delivering exceptional client experience and partnering with Valuation Managers.
• Manage day-to-day support for Customer Experience Specialists and foster a positive team environment.
• Train and develop staff on product knowledge, sales techniques, consignor education, and service skills.
• Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in daily operations and training.
• Lead by example on the sales floor and during peak hours.
• Build brand loyalty by delivering a best-in-class customer experience.
• Flex across store roles as needed and assist Store Manager when required.
