Job summary

Lake Austin Spa Resort in Austin, TX seeks a Licensed Massage Therapist to deliver client-centered massage therapies, tailor sessions to individual needs, and uphold the highest hygiene standards. Licensed Massage Therapist

Lake Austin Spa Resort - Austin, TX

Responsibilities

• Take notes regarding each client’s medical history and ensure that appropriate precautions are taken so that the condition is not aggravated
• Provide clients with knowledge of different types of available massages and suggest appropriate massage therapies for individual clients
• Explain the massage procedure and provide information about oils and creams used during massage
• Perform massaging activities according to each client’s instructions (pressure and preferred oil/cream)
• Talk to clients (minimally) during massage treatments to ensure their well-being during the procedure
• Uphold the standards of hygiene and sterilization as directed by law and the spa’s policies and procedures
• Maintain a constructive attitude and add toward a quality work environment

Qualifications

• Qualified candidates will have at least 500 training hours, including one year of licensed, hands‑on experience.
• Current Texas massage therapist license required.
• Excellent customer service skills
• Outstanding communication and listening skills
• Ability to build relationships with guests
• Ability to promote products and services
• Ability to work as part of a team
