Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a Luxury Retail Project Manager to oversee high-end retail construction projects in the Detroit metro area. You will lead on-site and corporate teams, maintain schedules and budgets, and ensure quality across all trades while coordinating with subcontractors and management.

The Successful Applicant will have 5+ years in project management for GC or developers, a background in luxury retail, and a degree in Construction Management or related field.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager with a general contractor or developer.
• Luxury retail construction background is preferred but open to related high-end commercial work.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to work fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction on high-end retail construction projects.
• Monitor construction through on-site and corporate oversight to meet schedule and budget.
• Develop work plans, establish priorities and assign tasks.
• Coordinate schedule development and long-term planning.
• Implement and communicate progress schedules and revisions.
• Manage contracts: review budgets, costs, rental equipment and expenses.
• Review internal items: Cost Analysis, Monthly Billing, Master Cost Breakdown.
• Manage subcontractor schedules, quality of work and safety.
• Train and develop the Project team and allocate resources.
• Review drawings and samples prior to submission.
