Job summary

BlueStar Resort & Golf is seeking a part-time Server at Encanterra in Queen Creek, AZ. The role involves serving food and beverages in our restaurant, bar and patio, with duties including taking orders, relaying to the kitchen, and ensuring guest satisfaction.

Pay is $12.15 per hour plus gratuities. Benefits include medical/dental/life insurance for full-time staff, PTO, holidays, sick leave, and a 401(k) plan after 30 days. Flexibility for evenings/weekends is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One to three months’ related server experience preferred.
• Must meet the state and federal minimum age requirement for serving alcohol.
• Current Food Handlers Card and TIPS Certification (Training for Intervention Procedures).
• Ability to understand and implement dining standards.
• Ability to perform basic math and calculate discounts and percentages.
• Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a friendly team environment.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions and memorandums.
• Speak effectively to guests and team members in small groups.
• Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Greet and serve guests in an energetic and friendly fashion.
• Create a welcoming atmosphere and answer questions about the menu and resort services.
• Write orders; relay to kitchen and bartender.
• Serve and clear tables following service etiquette and procedures.
• Engage with guests at tables to ensure needs are met.
• Work as a team under supervision of Lead Server or manager.
• Report safety issues or customer concerns to a supervisor.
• Check IDs to confirm legal drinking age.
• Handle cash and card transactions accurately.
• Other duties as assigned.
