Job summary

Chetola Resort in Blowing Rock, NC, seeks an experienced Maintenance & Engineering Manager to lead all lodge maintenance, preventive maintenance, and repair operations across guest rooms, dining facilities, spa, and event spaces.

You will drive a culture of craftsmanship and safety, supervise maintenance staff, manage capital projects, and coordinate with the Condominiums unit to support resort-wide priorities while ensuring exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive maintenance or engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, fire/life safety, and building automation systems.
• Valid North Carolina driver’s license (or ability to obtain one) with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day maintenance and engineering operations for the Lodge and hotel facilities.
• Supervise, schedule, coach, and develop the Lodge Maintenance team.
• Ensure guestrooms, public spaces, restaurants, spa, meeting rooms, pools, and mechanical spaces are in excellent condition.
