Job summary

South Seas Resort, part of Pyramid Global Hospitality, on Captiva Island, Florida, is seeking an experienced Director of Housekeeping to lead all housekeeping operations across the resort. The role requires managing guest rooms, residences, public spaces, and laundry, developing budgets, and driving quality, safety, and guest satisfaction in a luxury environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of progressive housekeeping leadership experience.
• Luxury resort or destination resort experience strongly preferred.
• Experience overseeing housekeeping operations for multiple accommodation types.
• Knowledge of housekeeping management systems, PMS software and Microsoft Office.
• Strong leadership, organizational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead through change while maintaining high employee engagement and service standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for all housekeeping operations across South Seas Resort.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, train, coach, and develop Housekeeping Managers, Supervisors, and team members.
• Foster a culture centered on accountability, teamwork, recognition, continuous improvement, and exceptional guest service.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations, coaching sessions, and succession planning initiatives.
• Develop staffing plans that align with seasonal occupancy and operational demands.
• Promote a positive and inclusive work environment that supports employee engagement and retention.
• Oversee daily housekeeping operations for guest rooms, resort residences, condominiums, villas, public areas, and laundry.
• Ensure brand standards for cleanliness and guest readiness across all accommodations.
• Coordinate with Front Office and Engineering to maximize efficiency and guest satisfaction.
• Partner with other departments to support resort-wide initiatives.
