Job summary

Salamander Middleburg is seeking an accomplished Executive Chef to lead culinary operations at our luxury resort in Middleburg, Virginia. The role requires a seasoned leader with luxury hotel or resort experience, capable of driving creative menus, operational excellence, and strong financial stewardship.

You will manage restaurants, banquets, catering, in-room dining, and events, ensuring exceptional quality, consistency, and profitability while upholding Salamander's luxury standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as Executive Chef in luxury hotels/resorts or high-end venues.
• Experience leading high-volume kitchens, including banquets and events.
• Strong financial acumen with budgeting, forecasting, and P&L experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and hands-on leadership for all resort culinary operations.
• Lead and mentor the culinary leadership team to foster accountability and excellence.
• Develop innovative, seasonally inspired menus aligned with luxury standards.
• Maintain high standards for food quality, presentation, and guest satisfaction.
• Oversee food costs, labor, purchasing, inventory, and operating expenses.
