Job summary

Worth Ross Management Company (WRMC) in Downtown Austin seeks a dependable Maintenance Technician to support day-to-day operations in a luxury condominium community. You’ll perform routine maintenance in common areas and units, with hands-on tasks across plumbing, electrical, painting, drywall, carpentry, and lock repairs.

This on-site role reports to the Maintenance Supervisor, requires clear teamwork and customer service, and may include after-hours emergencies.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of general maintenance practices and use of common hand and power tools.
• Willingness to be on-call or respond to after-hours emergencies.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and customer service skills.
• Reliability, attention to detail, and proactive problem-solving.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience in residential facilities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs in common areas and residential units.
• Handle entry-level tasks including light plumbing, basic electrical work, painting, drywall patching, carpentry, and lock repairs.
• Assist with HVAC-related tasks such as filter replacement and basic inspections.
• Support move-ins and move-outs by preparing common areas and assisting with logistics.
• Escort vendors and contractors, operate freight elevators as needed, and conduct walkthroughs before and after work is completed.
• Assist with general building upkeep, porter duties, and package handling when needed.
• Serve as backup support to the Maintenance Supervisor when required.
