Job summary

Boar’s Head Resort is seeking a hands-on Public Space Supervisor to oversee daily public-area cleanliness and readiness. You will supervise a Public Space team, assign work by occupancy and events, and coordinate with Housekeeping to address priorities quickly.

The ideal candidate balances team leadership with practical, on-the-floor support, excellent communication, and a commitment to luxury standards. Weekend, evenings, and holiday availability is required.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping, public area, environmental services, or similar hospitality experience required.
• Prior lead or supervisory experience in a hotel, resort, club, healthcare, or comparable service environment preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to inspect work against established cleanliness and presentation standards.
• Ability to coach team members, organize assignments, manage shifting priorities, and follow through on completion.
• Strong communication, guest-service, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to use housekeeping equipment and cleaning products safely and appropriately.
• Must be available to work weekends. Flexibility to work evenings and holidays based on business needs is also required.
• Professional judgment, reliability, and a visible, hands-on leadership style.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise Daily Public Space operations, assign work based on occupancy, events, guest activity, and priorities.
• Maintain a strong, visible presence in public areas and provide hands-on support as needed.
• Inspect areas throughout the shift to ensure cleanliness, presentation, and readiness standards are met.
• Monitor staffing, breaks, assignments, supplies, and shift priorities for efficient operations.
• Communicate priority changes clearly and ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping leadership and other departments for additional attention or service recovery.
• Ensure all public spaces are clean, organized, and guest-ready (lobbies, restrooms, corridors, entrances).
• Maintain high standards for floors, glass, furniture, fixtures, waste removal, and restroom presentation.
• Conduct routine walkthroughs to identify concerns and report maintenance issues promptly.
• Train, coach, and support Public Space team members on procedures, safety, and resort standards.
• Set attendance, appearance, productivity, teamwork, and communication expectations.
