Job summary

Boar’s Head Resort in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a hands-on Public Space Supervisor to oversee daily readiness of the resort’s public and guest-facing areas. You will supervise the Public Space team, assign work, inspect areas, and ensure luxury standards across lobbies, restrooms, corridors, and entrances.

The role requires a visible, coaching leadership style, weekend/evening availability, and collaboration with Housekeeping and other departments to address priorities quickly while

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping, public area, environmental services, or similar hospitality experience required.
• Prior lead or supervisory experience in a hotel, resort, club, healthcare, or comparable service environment preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to inspect work against established cleanliness and presentation standards.
• Ability to coach team members, organize assignments, manage shifting priorities, and follow through on completion.
• Strong communication, guest-service, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be available to work weekends. Flexibility to work evenings and holidays based on business needs is also required.
• Professional judgment, reliability, and a visible, hands-on leadership style.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily Public Space operation, assign work based on occupancy and priorities.
• Maintain a strong, visible presence and provide hands-on support.
• Inspect areas to ensure cleanliness and presentation standards are met.
• Monitor staffing, breaks, and supplies to keep operations efficient.
• Communicate priority changes clearly and follow up on completion.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping and other departments for repairs or service needs.
