Job summary

Highgate Hotels in Miami is seeking a Public Area Attendant to uphold luxury standards across lobbies, corridors, restrooms, fitness and business centers, restaurants, meeting spaces, elevators, pool areas, and other public spaces.

You will support a clean, safe, and welcoming environment, assist Room Attendants when needed, and follow schedules for deep cleaning to maintain Highgate’s brand expectations.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; hotel experience preferred.
• Experience in luxury or lifestyle hotel environments is a plus.
• Must be flexible to work varying shifts and long hours.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a professional, courteous demeanor with guests, managers, and team members.
• Uses two-way radio etiquette to communicate clearly with hotel staff.
• Practices safe work habits to ensure the safety of guests, colleagues, and self.
• Handles Lost and Found items and proper documentation.
• Returns keys and materials to the Housekeeping Office at shift end.
• Identifies and reports maintenance concerns promptly to support timely resolution.
• Maintains familiarity with guestroom cleaning procedures to support Room Attendants when needed.
• Delivers clean linen to assigned areas to support housekeeping operations.
• Collects soiled linen and trash to maintain cleanliness and workflow.
• Removes trash from service landings and disposes of it properly.
• Vacuums corridors to maintain a clean, orderly environment.
• Keeps hallways and public areas neat, organized, and clutter-free.
• Maintains cleanliness of public restrooms and follows deep-cleaning schedules.
• Supports overall guest satisfaction by maintaining a clean environment.
