Job summary

Fairmont Grand Del Mar is seeking a Pool Server to deliver luxurious service and guide guests through the dining experience in a sophisticated setting in San Diego, CA. You will interact with guests, take orders, and maintain high standards of service throughout shifts.

The role requires previous serving experience, strong communication, and adherence to California serving guidelines. Competitive hourly wage and full-time benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Prior serving experience with a minimum of 2 years in a similar restaurant environment.
• Food Handlers Card required
• RBS Certification required
• High School graduate
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English
• Basic math skills and ability to use a calculator
• Basic computer skills
• Familiar with California serving guidelines

Responsibilities

• Take orders and answer questions or make recommendations for menu listed products.
• Provide excellent customer service and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Clear, clean, reset and maintain restaurant tables during shift.
• Assist other Servers to give the best possible service as specified in Restaurant Standards of Service Manual.
• Understands the processes of delivery and removal of all product and equipment.
• Handle all guest checks according to Hotel policy.
• Maintain pars and equipment as needed to successfully accomplish all restaurant service tasks.
• Completion of side work as assigned by Manager.
• Assist guests in a friendly, professional and polite manner.
