Qualifications

• 1–2 years in front office or night audit at a luxury hotel.
• Forbes 5-Star or AAA Five Diamond experience preferred.
• Familiar with hotel PMS and basic accounting procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Professional demeanor and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently overnight.
• Knowledge of Charleston dining, attractions, and transport.
• Willingness to work overnight, weekends and holidays.
• Capable of responding quickly to guest emergencies and making decisions under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Greet late-arriving guests and facilitate check-in/out per Forbes 5-Star standards.
• Respond to guest inquiries and issues promptly, ensuring prompt resolution.
• Maintain a calm, welcoming lobby overnight.
• Offer personalized service by noting guest preferences and delivering amenities.
• Conduct overnight room service or housekeeping requests when others are unavailable.
• Audit, balance, and consolidate revenue transactions across departments.
• Reconcile front desk cash drawer, transactions, and folios; resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and distribute daily revenue reports, trial balances, and summaries.
• Post charges and payments to guest accounts; ensure folios are accurate.
• Monitor the property for unusual activity and coordinate with security.
• Conduct property walks; ensure public areas are clean and secure.
• Handle emergencies and coordinate with hotel leadership.
• Prepare and deliver end-of-shift reports for morning management.
• Brief the early shift on overnight events and priorities.
• Log incidents, maintenance concerns, and guest feedback.
