Job summary

Thom Browne, Inc. seeks a Made-to-Measure Tailor for the New York Madison Avenue Atelier.

You will be the technical authority behind every garment, taking client measurements to Browne standards, and executing alterations for MTM, MTO, and Custom pieces with the highest quality and client service. Responsibilities include fittings, documenting measurements, advising on feasibility, and ensuring each garment meets the brand's standards of craftsmanship.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of tailoring experience in bespoke or luxury ready-to-wear.
• Expert in hand and machine alterations.
• Strong measurement and fit-diagnosis skills.
• Knowledge of luxury finishing standards.
• Excellent client communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform alterations on MTM, MTO and Custom garments to Thom Browne standards.
• Take client measurements and record notes per standards.
• Identify balance, posture and fit corrections during fittings.
• Execute hand and machine tailoring including sleeve, shoulder, and trouser adjustments.
• Advise clients and teams on technical feasibility while preserving fit and quality.
• Conduct quality control reviews and coordinate repairs or remakes as needed.
• Deliver exceptional client experience during fittings and ensure garments leave impeccably.
