Job summary

The Variel Assisted Living is actively seeking a Memory Care Director to lead our luxury Memory Care neighborhood in Southern California. You will guide team development, resident engagement, and family communication while ensuring safe, person-centered care.

Qualifications

• Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) or ability to obtain certification within the designated timeframe.
• Minimum of three years of experience working with individuals living with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia.
• At least one year of leadership experience overseeing Memory Care or dementia programming.
• Experience developing and facilitating therapeutic or engagement programs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the Memory Care neighborhood.
• Develop and enhance dementia-focused programming and engagement opportunities.
• Recruit, coach, mentor, and develop Memory Care team members.
• Partner with residents and families to build meaningful relationships and provide education and support.
• Monitor program quality and implement improvements as needed.
