Job summary

Nebraska Furniture Mart Inc. is seeking an Appliance Designer to help customers plan and design high-end indoor and outdoor kitchens. You will discuss style, space planning, and investment needs, then present quotes, drawings, and specifications for client approval.

Responsibilities include purchasing products, following up to ensure satisfaction, and researching leads to grow the designer services footprint in new home and business markets.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 3 years of retail sales experience.
• Product knowledge preferred.
• Appliance background (School or work experience) including reading blueprints and layout floor plans.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate: Discuss with the client their style preferences, scope of project and investment plan
• Advise: Counsel client on space planning, layout and color coordination to ensure practical and esthetically pleasing designs
• Present: Lay out quotes, drawings and product specifications for client approval
• Order: Purchase products and accessories for customer
• Follow-up: Reach out to the client to confirm satisfaction of all designer services
• Research: Compile lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads based on information from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, websites and other sources
• Generate: Work designated territory to generate sales in new home and business construction
