Job summary

Nebraska Furniture Mart (NFM) is seeking an Appliance Designer to help customers plan and design indoor and outdoor high-end kitchens. You will translate client style preferences into practical layouts, color schemes, and product selections, presenting quotes and specs for approval.

Ideal candidates have 3 years of retail sales experience, basic product knowledge, and the ability to read blueprints and layout floor plans.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients to discuss style preferences, project scope and budget.

• Follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction with designer services.
• Research potential customers from various sources to generate sales leads.
• Work designated territory to generate sales in new home and business construction.

Job Description: Your Piece of the Puzzle

Do you have an eye for design and display? If so, we have the perfect job for you! As NFM’s Appliance Designer you will be responsible for assisting NFM customers plan and design in-door and outdoor high-end kitchens.

Job Duties: A Day in the Life

• Collaborate: Discuss with the client their style preferences, scope of project and investment plan
• Advise: Counsel client on space planning, layout and color coordination to ensure practical and esthetically pleasing designs
• Present: Lay out quotes, drawings and product specifications for client approval
• Order: Purchase products and accessories for customer
• Follow-up: Reach out to the client to confirm satisfaction of all designer services
• Research: Compile lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads based on information from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, websites and other sources
• Generate: Work designated territory to generate sales in new home and business construction
