Job summary

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, presenting drawings and product specs, ordering products, and following up to ensure client satisfaction. Trainees with a strong retail background and design interest are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED preferred.
3 years of retail sales experience.
Appliance background and ability to read blueprints and layout floor plans.
Interior design, architecture or art background preferred.
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
Ability to work nights/weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with clients on style preferences, scope of project and investment plan.
Advise on space planning, layout and color coordination for practical and esthetically pleasing designs.
Present quotes, drawings and product specifications for client approval.
Order and purchase products and accessories for customer.
Follow up to confirm satisfaction of all designer services.
Generate lists of prospective customers and sales leads for new home and business construction.
