Job summary

Z Gallerie, LLC in Irving, TX is seeking a talented Interior Designer to join our retail store team. You will lead design consultations, create room concepts, and guide clients from concept to purchase, blending interior design with relationship-based sales.

You will present polished visualizations using Coohom, coordinate with store leadership, and nurture long-term client relationships to drive repeat business. Flexibility for weekend/store events is required.

Qualifications

• Must have strong aesthetic judgment and ability to translate client needs into design solutions.
• Experience in a luxury retail or related customer-facing field preferred.
• Portfolio demonstrating space planning and complete-room composition.
• Comfortable presenting recommendations and asking for the sale.
• Ability to visit local client homes for measurements when required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-store and virtual design consultations to understand space, style, needs, timeline, and budget.
• Develop room concepts, mood boards, space plans, product selections, and visual presentations featuring Z Gallerie products.
• Translate client aesthetics into personalized solutions and guide purchasing decisions.
• Present design recommendations and manage proposals and follow-up throughout the customer journey.
• Maintain active pipeline of design clients and work toward consultation, conversion, AOV, and sales goals.
• Develop long-term client relationships that generate repeat purchases and referrals.
• Maintain accurate records of client activity, proposals, follow-up, purchases, and project status.
• Partner with Store Manager and sales team to identify design-service opportunities and convert store traffic.
• Support sales associates with space-planning and product-coordination.
• Maintain knowledge of assortment, including dimensions, materials, availability, pricing.
• Participate in store events and local outreach to build awareness of design services.
• Share customer feedback with store leadership to improve experience and program.
• Use Coohom to create floor plans and client visualizations; training provided.
