Job summary

Montage International in Big Sky, Montana, seeks a Housekeeping Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of the Housekeeping department, ensuring guest rooms and public areas meet the highest standards.

You will lead a team, mentor staff, work with Workday and recruiting software, and collaborate with the Director of Housekeeping to maintain exceptional service. Fluency in English and Spanish preferred; HS diploma required; two years in luxury resort housekeeping.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Two plus years’ experience in housekeeping within a luxury resort.
• Must have Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office products; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. Opera preferred.
• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace (Spanish and English).
• Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.
• Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to supervise subordinate staff, including, but not limited to, assignment of duties, evaluating service, and taking disciplinary action when necessary.
• Ability to prepare and analyze data, figures and transcriptions prepared on and generated by computer.
• Knowledge of hotel housekeeping operations.
• Must possess basic computational ability.
• Must possess basic computer skills.
• Budgetary analysis capabilities required.
• Knowledge of housekeeping service techniques and cost controls such as manpower, productivity and other expenses.

Responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms and public areas to uphold service standards.
• Manage housekeeping team including mentoring, coaching, training.
• Build an exceptional housekeeping team while supporting Director.
• Work with Workday software and recruiting system software.
• Conduct regular inspections of the hotel to ensure adherence to cleanliness and maintenance standards.
• Hire, train, supervise and develop colleagues.
• Provide seamless employee relations with contract employees, ensuring proper training and culture integration.
• Establish safe working conditions through appropriate training.
