Job summary

The Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee, part of Marcus Hotels & Resorts, is seeking a Stewarding team member to uphold its iconic service and style. The role focuses on dishwashing, cleanliness, inventory support, and safe chemical handling in a high-energy kitchen.

No prior experience is required; basic English is preferred. You must be able to work flexible shifts, including long hours, in a unionized environment under Local 122 rules.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 75 lbs and pushing/pulling up to 150 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain dishwashing equipment according to manufacturer and health standards; scrape, rinse, rack, and properly sanitize all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Keep dish room, kitchen areas, floors, walls, and equipment clean and organized in compliance with health department and resort standards.
• Properly store dishes, utensils, and equipment; restock supplies and assist with inventory management to support efficient kitchen operations.
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper chemical handling and hazard awareness; perform general cleaning and other assigned duties across kitchen areas as needed.
• Empty trash and recycling throughout the kitchen and dish areas; maintain clean, safe, and orderly back-of-house spaces, including floors and waste stations.
