Job summary

Maybourne Beverly Hills Hotel is seeking a Reservations Agent to join our luxury reservations team in Beverly Hills, CA. You will handle inquiries, assist with bookings, and provide guests with insightful information to enhance their stay.

You will input reservations, manage rooming lists, and coordinate with Sales and Revenue Management to maximize revenue. Weekend/night shifts may be required in a fast-paced, high-service environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a customer service role.
• One year experience at the front desk or reservations for a luxury hotel.
• Knowledge of hospitality sales, marketing, and revenue management functions.
• Excellent telephone etiquette and verbal/written communication.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
• Able to work weekends, nights, and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to guests and handle reservations using proper hotel verbiage, adhering to hotel standards.
• Input and organize reservation information via rooming lists, internet, travel agency requests, sales department, and reception with follow-up.
• Accommodate in-house guest requests to ensure high guest satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate logs of special requests and block requests in PMS or front office system.
• Answer and direct in-bound calls, coordinate and respond to mailed correspondence via email and fax systems.
• Understand the selling strategy for the hotel by knowing the status of room inventory and following it.
• Process rooming lists and changes/cancellations for group reservations.
• Prepare group guest lists prior to arrival and block rooms for special groups.
• Ensure reservations transfer accurately to PMS or front office system.
• Aggressively upsell hotel rooms to maximize transient room revenue per policy.
• Memorize hotel facilities and provide clear directions to the hotel for inquiring guests.
• Coordinate departmental training for reservations team and attendance of departmental meetings.
• Act as main resource for reservation agents and liaison for internal communications from Sales/Executive Office/Group and Revenue Management.
