Job summary

Park Hyatt Washington is seeking an energetic Purchasing Clerk to join our Finance and Purchasing team, supporting accurate receipt and distribution of goods for the hotel. The role involves processing POs, inspecting deliveries, and coordinating with departments to ensure timely PO lifecycle management.

The position requires stamina and the ability to stand for long periods, with refined communication skills and a genuine customer-service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Receives all incoming deliveries of products and goods
• Distributes all received shipments and goods to appropriate locations throughout the hotel
• Ensure proper transfer and handover of goods to the relevant departments
• Submits and tracks purchase orders
• Inspects all goods delivered against approved purchase orders (POs), supplier invoices, and delivery notes
• Conduct quantity and quality checks and reports any discrepancies, shortages, or damages
• Coordinate with Purchasing Director, Finance, suppliers, and operations departments to ensure timely processing of goods through the entirety of the PO life cycle
• Scan, route, and process invoices through the workflow to ensure timely processing
• Ship in-house and guest packages
• Other administrative tasks as needed
